When a new year approaches, we make so many resolutions—get healthy, financially savvy, or just be a better YOU. Honestly, do you think about how we are going to accomplish these resolutions? The answer most of the time is a resounding NO. For 2019, consider these tips to make this year your best one yet.
Make Meditation A Priority
You will be surprised as to how much meditation can really help you achieve the necessary balance you need in your life to accomplish your goals. Intentional meditation can provide a clear head, cultivates happiness, and provides discipline. You can’t move on to the next level if your well being isn’t up to par. Your SELF CARE matters! If you have never meditated before, I recommend guided meditations that you can find on YouTube or Audible.
My favorite YouTubers are The Honest Guys – Meditations – Relaxation. They provide meditation techniques that can go from 10 minutes to over an hour. On the Audible platform, there is Everyday Meditation by
Work On Your Vision Board
In recent years, there has been a rise in vision board parties occurring towards the end of the year or at the beginning of the New Year. A vision board is a powerful manifestation tool that helps you narrow down your desires through the power of choice. You don’t need a party to do a vision board, although being a positive space of camaraderie can be helpful, all you need are your dreams, magazine pictures, glue, and a board. The final product is a board that you can always look at throughout the year on your wall or desk to keep you on the course. For those who aren’t always the creative type and want their board on them, there are many mobile applications available that you can use to create a digital vison board; VISUAPP and Subliminal Vision Board are two good ones to use. For myself, I use Pinterest to create my digital vision board.
Improper planning produces piss poor performance and results. If you don’t write it down nor plan out your goals, don’t expect miracles. The art of journaling is a dying talent. Many people these days just want to record their thoughts via audio or video. I am here to tell you though that there is nothing like SEEING your handwriting on paper. Journaling lets you practice writing, organize your thoughts, and preserve your habits for prosperity. I know, a lot of people do not have the time to write, however, don’t be discouraged. If possible, have small size journal on hand to write out your goals. This will allow you to always go back to your writing to review and edit where necessary. If that is too much for you to take on, there are some good journaling mobile applications you can use like, Day One, Journey, or Five-Minute Journal that only takes a one-time payment of $5, rather than a monthly subscription fee.
So, what’s your excuse now to not get your New Year in order? Hopefully on December 31, 2019, you can say without hesitation, GOALS ACCOMPLISHED.
