Serena Williams is joining forces with Poshmark, a popular online marketplace where fashion, beauty, and lifestyle shoppers can re-sell their merchandise, as a member on the Board of Directors.
The huge news comes as the app recently reported that its members generated $1 billion in sales. The new mama is also the first woman to be appointed to a board position in the company’s 8-year history.
“I’m really excited to join Poshmark because it really speaks to my core values,” Williams said in an announcement video. “They really believe in so many different aspects of my life that I am not only living but I’m also preaching.”
Williams isn’t just throwing her name behind a buzzing brand, she actually has a closet on the site where fans can shop her most coveted pieces. Take this Louis Vuitton dress for example, which is currently up for sale at $1040.00, or this Victoria Beckham minidress that’s going for $330.
According to Adweek, all of the proceeds from Williams’ closet will go to the Yetunde Price Resource Center, a nonprofit that supports violence victims.
